Drawn to orange

I never thought I'd say this but I am finding myself drawn to orange. Not in huge quantities but used sparingly it can add just the right note to lift any interior especially as we start to head toward some cooler weather.

Beautiful collections

I could stare at these images all day of India Hick's home in the Bahamas and still not grow tired. Her ability to arrange objects around her home in beautiful displays is no doubt a consequence of having David Hicks (one of my favourite designers) for a Father.

Weekend inspiration

I have spent the last few days seeking new inspiration for Cottle House this year. I love to see beautiful objects grouped together especially when there are contrasting textures.
Probably my most favourite pass time is playing with colour and objects to create lovely combinations, and discovering new finds. Being a designer I get to enjoy my hobby all day long. I find these two images get all my creative juices flowing. Enjoy your weekend doing what you love most. Sally-Ann x

Some cool relief

After a day discovering new product for my new clients and my shop it was time for some light relief. My day was made when I discovered via Table tonic that the new Ivy and piper online mag was out and filled with gorgeous images from one of my favourite American designers Meg Braff.

A special thank you to a fellow blogger Judy from Verandah House for her help with tracking down a source. We will soon have some of her gorgeous furniture available at Cottle House.

Summer styling

Styling your home for the seasons can change the feel of your home and give you a fresh new look.
Add some new cushions, put out your favourite travel books from exotic locations, fresh flowers of the season, I always include my favourite hurricane lamps and add some coral or shells for a relaxed summer feel.

Summer style

What is not to love about this room! The mix of neutral textures, interesting fabrics, great accessories, a beach house to dream of.
